On February 21, 2012, a 4chan user started sharing a complete set of log files (made available via torrent download) containing login information for YouPorn users. YouPorn is one of the top 100 sites in the world according to Alexa world ranking. Partial list of over 6000 YouPorn accounts extracted from the log files were shared a couple days later on Pastebin and the leaked YouPorn accounts quickly made news.

YouPorn leak appears to have happened due to a clumsy mistake made by the third-party service provider responsible for YouPorn chat service where they had inadvertently made all log files containing YouPorn logins to become publicly accessible. Worst, the log files dated between January 29, 2008 and February 21, 2012 contain login information including emails and passwords for over 1.5 million YouPorn logins (notice we mentioned logins here instead of users as some of the emails in the list below are repeated but they use different passwords). It is unclear if this affects all of YouPorn users between the two dates.
