 1. (SBU) Poloff discussed reftel text with Martin Pangrac, 
Political Affairs Officer in the MFA Security Policy 
Department. Pangrac assured Poloff that Slovakia is aware of 
ratification and deposit procedures and predicted Slovakia 
will deposit its instruments before the end of the year. 
 
 2. (SBU) The Slovak government approved ratification 
documents on September 17. These will be submitted to 
Parliament, and should be approved between November 21 and 
December 12. Pangrac said there is "almost zero per cent 
chance of complications" and President Gasparovic has said he 
will sign the documents as soon as they are approved by 
Parliament.
