Charge d'Affaires George Colvin delivered reftel demarche on 
July 3, 2008, to Terry Toomata, Acting CEO of the Ministry of 
Public Affairs and Trade of the Government of Samoa.  Toomata 
received the message favorably and said that he did not expect 
any problem in Samoa's joining with the United States in 
sponsoring the event.  He asked what Samoa would have to do to 
join in cosponsorship, and Charge said that affirming a 
cosponsorship to the Embassy would be sufficient as a first 
step.  (Embassy would appreciate guidance if any further action 
is required.)  Toomata said he would confirm Samoa's position 
and respond to the message.
